North Carolina AWWA-WEA Conference

I had a great week at the 99th Annual Conference of the North Carolina Section of the American Water Works Association and the North Carolina Water Environment Association (NC AWWA-WEA) November 3-6, 2019 in Raleigh, NC.

This year’s theme “GAME ON- Moving forward in the water game” set the stage for the Organization’s transformation into its second century as a trusted resource provider for all of North Carolina’s water industry professionals.

More than 1,400 water professionals gathered in North Carolina’s capital city to share ideas, network, and fellowship. The year, for the FIRST time, Smart Water Smart City joined over 180 vendors in the exhibit hall.

Attendees participated in 120 technical sessions, operational competitions, the Best Tasting Water contest, toured Raleigh’s breweries, and socialized with other water professionals. I met so many great colleagues from across the Carolinas who are all working together to deliver smart water infrastructure.

I even had a visit my old friend Ike Moss!
